Countless different versions and details were tested and continuously improved during the development of this jacket – by The Mountain Studio, including Marcel Hirscher, as well as by other ski pros.
Until The Mountain Studio could be sure: with its perfect fit and because it is suitable for skiing like hardly any other, the Z-2 HD has what it takes to be the favorite jacket of demanding skiers. The Mountain Studio chose a durable, robust 80 denier GORE-TEX® Pro functional material that can withstand extreme conditions when skiing, snowboarding, and ski touring.
Gore technology makes this jacket permanently waterproof, absolutely windproof, and extremely breathable. This updated version of the jacket is equipped with Cohaesive cord stoppers and a removable powder skirt.
This highly functional shell jacket can be optimally used in a multi-layered clothing system and is therefore suitable for almost all conditions and temperatures. On warm days, you use the shell alone. In combination with a thickly lined midlayer, the Z-2 HD becomes the perfect jacket for cold weather. If you wear a thin functional shirt or a technical midlayer underneath, you are optimally equipped for most ski days and other outdoor activities.
In line with The Mountain Studio's philosophy, the Z-2 HD is not only an excellent ski jacket, but also an excellent outdoor jacket that can be used 365 days a year. With its minimalist design and refined cut, it is very versatile and also looks great in an urban environment.
