The Araripe is designed as a mid-layer, but works just as well on its own. Down provides warmth at the front, while PrimaLoft® Active Insulation works on the back and sleeves – an insulation that breathes and regulates body temperature instead of just retaining it. This is the difference you notice on the ascent: the jacket doesn't trap heat, dries exceptionally quickly, and remains comfortable even when your pulse rises. The two-layer nylon outer keeps out wind and splashes, while the stretch polyester lining follows every movement. For skiing, snowboarding, trekking, and everything in between.
