Cortex: first the volume, then the number
K2 classifies Cortex as a low-volume ski boot family. This refers to a relatively narrow fit within the K2 boot world, not a guarantee for every narrow foot. Heel, instep, ankle, and forefoot can vary greatly even with the same foot length. Therefore, check the entire fit instead of selecting the boot solely based on a last specification or your usual shoe size.
Cortex 105 Zonal BOA W and Cortex 130 Zonal BOA are two different models. The numbers represent the manufacturer's respective flex rating; they do not form a simple rating scale from bad to good. A higher value may be unsuitable if you cannot move the boot appropriately while skiing. What Zonal BOA changes during fitting

This is an operating and adjustment option, not a solution for a fundamentally ill-fitting shell. Note concrete observations such as heel hold, pressure on the instep, or the mobility of the cuff.
